From the lost archives dept: My interview with #Hanson at their world headquarters in Tulsa, OK. It was meant to be a piece for print on their business but despite my best efforts that never come to fruition. Finally I have gotten this together in a podCASTNER to celebrate their 25th anniversary Middle Of Everywhere Tour. it is the raw interview and although taped in May of 2013 the core of Hanson and their company is the same today. Taped backstage at Tulsa's Cain's Ballroom. Enjoy!
Sending love to #Texas from #portland and what would could easily be called the Texas Embassy of Oregon
The president's twitter storm this week took the presidency to a new low and with this man that is saying a lot. It not only made it clear that there is something very wrong.... there are legal opinions that the law has been broken....again. We also look at the top mistakes you can make in retirement AND we look a the hits and misses at the box office with Kevin Carr from Fat Guys At the Movies.com
Jammin it this week- Johnny Depp goes after Trump, the senate "health care" working paper. Also Kelli Grant from CNBC on which debt you pay first when things go south in your house and Kevin Carr from Fat Guys at the Movies.com on the hits and misses at the box office this week. Jump in! The water is awesome.
A less Trumpian podCASTNER because we all need a break! Is it time to finally declare that the Korean War is over? That's right non-history majors, we only have a truce in place. Gordon Chang fills us in on the pros and cons and why China is worried. Kevin Carr from Fat Guys At the Movies reviews the HORRORble movies this week.... sorry... couldn't help myself. I will also fill you in my Twitter feuds this week.
New podCASTNER: @kathygriffin was wrong AND rt, why we are we seen as a rouge nation & @kevincarr w/ 🎬
I was blessed to attend the 20th anniversary of Sergeant Pepper at Abbey Road Studios in London in 1987. Paul and Linda McCartney were there as was legendary rocker Roy Orbison. I was a producer with entertainment tonight at that time. We did a lengthy sitdown interview with Paul and I had a wonderful opportunity to speak with Linda at length. I brought my camera with me that day and just snapped I think two or three pictures. I was busy producing. She gave me some photography pointers one of which being always have your camera with you. You never know when a picture will present itself. A blessing to have been present for such a legendary celebration at such a legendary studio.
Sally Yates mic drops her way across the hill today and the subcommittee shows us more than ever why we need an independent investigation into TrumpRussia. I will also tell you why I am not worrying about the festering boil that is the House passed Trump "care". AND we have the BIG movie at the box office this week: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Lil Kim Jong Un fires off another missile as Trump tries to deflect from the Michael Flynn debacle by stirring the pot with North Korea AND at the same time South Korea. North Korea/China expert Gordon Chang tells why thats dangerous and what Kim has up his stubby little sleeves. We also have the hits and misses at the box office with Kevin Carr from Fat Guys at the Movies. I am also really pleased this week to have the track "Bedtime" by SoundClouder Alex Ramos ( SorryImAlex ) in the show as well.
This morning Carole King posted a song from her 1979 album Touch the Sky. "Time Gone By" is so very relevant today. This album was released about the same time that I saw her perform at a small hotel ballroom in Boise, Idaho. It was a fundraiser for the late Senator Frank Church (from Church Committee fame). I was a reporter at the event. Carole has never held back expressing her feelings. Thank God.
Bill O'Reilly served as the blueprint for the Donald Trump campaign. In every way, shape and form... under normal circumstances you wouldn't do ANY of what I will play you. But for Trump it worked. And I tell you why. We also revisit Lyin' Bill by taking you back to nonexistent parts of his past. And the hits and misses at the movies from Kevin Carr from Fat Guys At the Movies
BREAKING AS WE podCASTNER'ed Lil Kim says F-ck it Trump and fires a missile anyway. I tell you where the red line is on radio and TV and this week we hit it on CNN. And I thought YOURS TRULY was lacking in history as a 21 y.o. White House reporter! SpokesBot Sean Spicer did some REALLY bad Hitler-splainin' this week. The Jewish folks and us gays were- as the Queen would say (of England not Elton John)- NOT AMUSED. As always stay to the end of a little audio treat.
What North Korea/China expert Gordon Chang predicts from Kim Jung Un as we send destroyers toward the Korean peninsula will have you reaching for scotch. And I hate scotch. Emboldened by his Syria distraction, Trump gets ready for some more wag the dog. We'll also get the latest at the box office- if we don't get nuked- from Kevin Carr from Fat Guys At The Movies.
THIS is in my craw this week: Is it too early to be talking about impeachment? Fox News blow hole Bill O'Reilly feeling the heat after a scathing NY Times expose. Mercedes Benz yanks their ads. Will more mean the end of the "no spin zone"? John McCain on doing the right thing and of course I put down the scotch and razor blades to hear the latest from Kevin Carr from Fat Guys at The Movies
I am a sucker. I already ordered this. I have the original album in God knows how many formats but the Beatles outdid themselves with this deluxe package. The Amazon page is already up for orders CLICK HERE
Ted Koppel's exchange with Sean Hannity got me thinking- is what Sean Hannity and other's do BAD for America? Also Alex Jones says now that he is SORRY for pushing the phony "pizzagate" scam. Is sorry enough. I have been in the middle of it all and I don't hold back. The TrumpRussia investigation may be ready to break as Trump is handed his biggest failure yet- Trump Don't Care gets crushed by congress. Kevin Carr tells us whether we really NEED a CHiPS movie and I will tell you the one thing in your bedroom that could explode and no I'm not making a sex joke. Seriousley - listen to this warning.
The Koppel piece was much more than just the Sean Hannity interview. Watch and decide for yourself.
RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA- US officials say info suggests TRUMP officials & Russia coordinated release of Clinton emails. The FBI director confirms that the house of Trump is under investigation. I'll tell you why the House Intel Committee Chair Devin Nunes needs to be expelled from congress after his clumsy circus act and why SCOTUS nominee Gorsuch shouldn't be conformed. Also- I talk to North Korean expert Gordon Chang about Lil Kim Jong Un facing off with the limping Trump White House. Oh.... and what NOT to do when booking your next vacation hotel room.
Crazy claims are an hourly occurrence. I take veteran journalist Lynn Sherr's advice and move past the traffic accident that is the Trump White House. This week-a conservative WSJ opinion writer on the cost of seeking the truth, I will tell you why you should chill when you hear about the Trump budget/Trump "care" , we get schooled on immigration from the Irish Prime Minister and Kevin Carr from Fat Guys at the Movies schools us on Beauty and The Beast. BTW... stay to the VERY end of the podCASTNER this week... and every week.
Que bola asere! I finally realized a lifelong dream and traveled to Cuba. These are some of the people I met and some of the experiences I had. I am not naïve when it comes to Cuban history but then again I'm not naïve about our own politics -especially now. I was delighted to run into actress Jamie Lee Curtis while I was there. We were both on our maiden Cuban voyages. And finally we now know what some of our southern neighbors think of Trump.
