Monday, April 21, 2008- The Role Radio Played in Katrina
This is an interview with my boss, Dick Lewis, Regional Vice President for Clear Channel. It was an amazing education of what can happen with companies come together for the good of the community. It is a story that very few have heard. Check it out!
Monday, April 7, 2008- We Are Back on the New Rush Radio WRNO 99.5 New Orleans!
Rush and I may not see eye to eye politically, but one thing we DO agree on is that he is the number one radio host in the nation and WRNO has him! After 18 years at another station Rush decided to do what I did a few weeks ago: pack my bags and head over to WRNO in New Orleans. Along with my partner Robyn Walensky we will be live and local 5-9 AM Monday through Friday at 99.5 FM. You can listen live by hitting the LISTEN LIVE banner above. Oh but there is much more. What more you may ask? Gotta listen!
Tuesday, April 1, 2008- Uh.... What is Going On?
From the New Orleans Times-Picayune:
"On the Air: This week Rush Limbaugh moves to WRNO FM-99.5
by Dave Walker, the Times-Picayune
News-talk radio station WRNO-FM, under renovation for weeks following the breakup of its founding talk lineup, lands a big piece of its new sound Tuesday, April 1.
Rush Limbaugh, for years the pivot of WWL AM-870's daytime schedule, will now air from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on WRNO FM-99.5.
Landing Limbaugh makes WRNO the New Orleans outlet for the nation's two most-listened-to syndicated talk hosts, according to the radio trade journal Talkers Magazine, which counts Limbaugh's cumulative weekly national audience at 14 million and Hannity's at 13 million.
Michael Castner and Robyn Walensky have been working morning drive for WRNO in recent days, but Clear Channel market manager Dick Lewis wouldn't confirm that they're the station's new morning team."
.......As soon as I get clarity from the higher ups..I will let you know! I have been assured that this is no April Fools joke.
Thursday, March 20, 2008- On the Road from Utah to my New Home in New Orleans!
