With all of the talk of the tiger attack at the zoo I was reminded that I once was stupid enough to work along side one. I have joked about hosting Circus of the Stars on CBS ages ago and I came across the old tape over the the holidays. So here is a clip. yea.....get the yucks out early over my hair!




This week a true hero of mine leaves his post after decades at the anchor desk. When I was a little boy I would watch Dick Nourse do the news and I decided "I want to do that!". Today...well maybe not right THIS MINUTE...I am a broadcaster. One of my regrets on leaving the building is that I will not be there for his departure. This clip is where he first broke the news that he was retiring.

This is a sales tape that we produced when the E! network first went on the air. It is a given that everyone around the world knows E! but back in the day we had to sell it every chance we got.





Out of everything we did in the short lifetime of our show I am perhaps the most proud of this national exposure.

We have joked about my first newscast for months....so I finally found and posted it. This was my first day ever on TV. I did the news, sports and the weather...none of them well. During the weather I am NOT digging at my butt. My mic cable was caught and I kept getting yanked back. I was given an "air name" of Michael James. I don't remember why. This is so bad it is almost an SNL skit. At the end of this newscast is the agriculture show I also had to do called "Country Midday". I was dressed head to toe in horrific Hee Haw gear for each show. This was happily my last ag show.
